The National Association for Numeracy and Mathematics in Colleges (NANAMIC) provided professional development for numeracy and mathematics teachers and was a voice for the post-16 learning and skills sector.

We supported classroom practitioners by:

• Providing moderately priced professional development events in response to the requirements of the sector and requests from members e.g. dyslexia and maths, active learning, functional mathematics, engaging Level 3 learners.

• Running an annual National Conference with many hands-on workshops. Some feedback comments from delegates: “All of a high quality.” “A very enjoyable and informative day.” “A good range of topics throughout the day.” “Excellent materials made available.”

• Representing the views of members to bodies such as ACME, JMC, NCETM, both by responding to consultations and in face to face meetings.
