Education Grants for the Institute’s 3rd Mathematics Works Conference

The Institute is offering grants, from the Education Grants budget, for six mathematics teachers working in schools and colleges in the United Kingdom to attend the 3rd Mathematics Works conference.  The grant will cover the cost of attending the conference and a small contribution towards travel expenses.  The grant does not cover the cost of supply cover.  Successful applicants are required to write an article about the conference, of which one will be selected to be published in the Institute’s publication Mathematics Today.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 30 April 2008.

Eligibility Criteria
Applications are welcome from:

  • Members and non-members of the Institute;
  • Mathematics teachers working in schools and colleges in the United Kingdom;
  • Those training to be mathematics teachers in the United Kingdom by any route (PGCE, GTP, SCITT etc);
  • Preference will be given to those who have not attended a Mathematics Works conference before.

To apply for an education grant to attend the 3rd Mathematics Works conference, please complete the Mathematics Works Education Grants application form (Word or PDF version).  Please read the notes at the end of the application form to help you complete it.
